So I totally flaked on posting this but last weekend I attended a Ghost Hunting Lecture. It was pretty cool. They talked about how investigations get started and what type of equipment they use. I thought it was very informative and it was fun getting to meet other Ghostie people.
This weekend was also a blast in that I got to try
Geocaching for the first time. If you've never heard of geocaching, it's sort like treasure hunting. You use a GPS device to find hidden caches. And they can be anywhere, from a parking lot to the top of a mountain. People do this all over the world, so there are thousands of caches to find. It's great exercise and a fun way to send the day. I hooked up with
thermidor and
catrinella, who had done this before, so they were able to show me the ropes.
First they let me find 3 on my own, to get me started. These were ones, they had already found. Then we proceed to find 3 more as a team. I think we are going by Team Guinness. HEE. The last cache was very cool in that it was a two parter. So you find one part and then you are given clues to find the next cache. That was a total blast. The whole day was great, but man was I exhausted when I got home.
I've posted a few pics in my
scrapbook, if you want to take a look, but be warned there are pictures next to the cache name.
